Electric cars to “march” in Patriots Day Parade as part of Lex Drive Electric program Learn more about electric cars and big discounts available to buy or lease. Who: Lex Drive Electric – a partnership between Sustainable Lexington and Mass Energy Consumers Alliance, local nonprofit organizations. What: See the hottest selling electric cars, like the Chevy Bolt, Chevy Volt, Nissan LEAF, Tesla, and even a Chrysler Pacifica plug-in electric mini-van “marching” in the Lexington Patriots Day parade. We’ll also have a couple electric cars parked in front of Hancock Church across from the Battle Green and right on the parade route anytime between 1pm and the end of the parade. Stop by if you want to get a closer look at an electric car or talk to your Lexington neighbors who drive them. You can also talk with Sustainable Lexington and Mass Energy representatives about how much you can save with our Lex Drive Electric program. Where: Cars will be in procession in the Patriots Day Parade, starting at Massachusetts Avenue and Maple Street in East Lexington, proceeding west along Massachusetts Avenue through Lexington center, left onto Worthen Road ending at the town pool parking lot. Before & during the parade, parked cars will be on display at Hancock Church side parking lot (1912 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02421). When: Monday, April 16th – Parade at 2pm Cars will be on display at Hancock Church starting at 1pm Why: Mass Energy’s Drive Green program has taken the hassle out of car shopping by negotiating incredible discounts on electric cars for the general public. Sustainable Lexington and Mass Energy launched Lex Drive Electric to connect Lexington residents to these deals, and to make it easy for people to get their questions answered by real people (your neighbors) who drive electric cars. Lex Drive Electric aims to double the number of electric cars in Lexington this year.
