The Lexington Chamber of Commerce with the generous support of Lester E. Savage/Berkshire Hathaway & Aloft/Elements Hotel present the Women-in-Business Series. This event series includes a segment of around-the-table introductions followed by a featured guest speaker. In addition to facilitated professional networking, the series places a particular emphasis on learning from one another and sharing work experiences in a friendly, open environment. This event will include admission, light breakfast and coffee.
At the May 14th event, we will hear remarks from Eliza Campbell, BARCC's Community Engagement Specialist.
BARCC stands for Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. As BARCC's community engagement specialist, Eliza Campbell is responsible for increasing the capacity of communities to respond to and prevent sexual violence by building and strengthening relationships with community groups, organizations, and community leaders. She first came to BARCC as a volunteer for the Community Awareness and Prevention Services (CAPS) team in 2014. Eliza has her master’s degree in social work from Boston University with a concentration in macro practice and a certificate in human services management. Prior to getting her master’s, Eliza worked at a small rape crisis center as a counselor and advocate for youth survivors of sexual violence. She was introduced to anti-violence work as an undergrad by volunteering on a hotline for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Los Angeles.
